DevOps Engineer

Permanent employee, Full-time · Around the world!

General Information
Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Reports to: Director of DevOps
Department: Tech
What this job is about
You’ll be the bridge between code and infrastructure, the automation wizard who refuses to do anything twice manually. We’re looking for a confirmed DevOps Engineer (1-3 years of experience) to help us scale, optimize, and automate our infrastructure.

We run Ubuntu everywhere (no distro wars here), rely heavily on AWS, and are considering GCP & Azure in the future. If you dream in Bash, think in YAML, and argue about tabs vs spaces with passion, you’ll fit right in.
Job Key Responsibilities

(a.k.a. What You’ll Break and Fix)

  • Ubuntu is your kingdom – Manage, secure, and optimize our fleet of servers.
  • Containerize All The Things! – Design and maintain Docker environments (because "it works on my machine" is not a deployment strategy).
  • AWS Specialist (for now) – Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, etc.), with a potential GCP expansion down the line.
  • Infra-as-Code, or it didn’t happen – Automate everything with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • CI/CD Mastery – Build and improve pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) to make deployments smoother than a fresh apt upgrade.
  • Monitoring & Logging – Keep an eye on our stack using CloudWatch, Grafana, Loki, and Zabbix (because logs should be useful, not just infinite scrolling nightmares).
  • Security-first mindset – Hardening systems, IAM best practices, and avoiding chmod 777 like the plague.
What you’ll bring to the party (Must haves)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a DevOps, SysAdmin, or SRE role
  • Ubuntu power user – You know your way around systemd, iptables/ufw, and /var/log/ like the back of your hand
  • AWS expertise – EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, Route 53, and other core AWS services
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible, or similar
  • CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Monitoring & Logging – Experience with CloudWatch, Grafana, Loki, and Zabbix
  • Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go, ...)
You’ll thrive in this role if you're someone (Great to have)
  • GCP and/or Azure experience (might be useful for later !)
  • AI/ML infrastructure experience (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or model deployment)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Certified, GCP Professional, etc.)
  • Kubernetes knowledge (yes, we know YAML is pain, but still)
Benefits and Perks
  • A 100% Ubuntu environment – no Red Hat, no CentOS, no Windows interruptions
  • The latest tools you need to automate everything
  • A team that understands the pain of debugging YAML and Python indentation
  • Remote-friendly, flexible work environment
  • A chance to automate yourself out of repetitive work
  • Work with incredibly driven people with great executable ideas
  • Opportunity to drive new ideas and make a measurable impact on company metrics
  • Hybrid, and flexible work
  • Generous vacation days
  • Professional & personal development allowance
  • Wellness and educational budget and other financial perks
  • A diverse and multicultural team environment with over 20 different nationalities from around the world
  • An open door policy with all the leadership team
About us
We’re a tech automotive e-commerce and SaaS startup and have been developing innovative automotive retail solutions using AI and data since 2016. Our scalable, data-driven technology makes it possible for customers to buy and sell cars online from wherever they are.

In March 2022, we became the first in Scandinavia to introduce an online auto marketplace for car buyers. Seez Marketplace's smart search engine allows people to find new and used cars for sale or lease in Denmark, along with tools and services for an enjoyable online buying experience; from browsing car selections to financing, insurance, and car delivery. We are planning for rapid growth and to become a disruptive force in the automotive industry by kicking off in Europe.

Seez is an exciting, fun, challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic place for big thinkers and top achievers, and there's no better time to join the team than right now. Our headquarters are in Dubai, and we have an office in Copenhagen, Denmark, where we run our business operations. The rest of the team works remotely around the world, and very soon, our services will be available in other European countries.
